In one of my previous posts, I mentioned my excitement to be granted a sit-down interview with one of Davao City's icons. She was responsible for bringing home the "Waling-waling" and making it synonymous to Davao. Last February, she was named one of GoNegosyo's 13 Filipina Entrepreneurs of 2013.  Know more of this inspiring lady who seems to have a Mida’s touch, founder of the Puentespina Orchids and Tropical Plants, Inc. and the Waling-waling lady herself – Charita P. Puentespina.

Puentespina Farms joins Kakao Konek!

Kakao Konek, an International Cocoa Conference, was held last Nov 21-23, 2012 in Davao City, Philippines.  It is a unique conference and exhibition that brought together global industry experts, investors, farmers, nursery operators, plant breeders, traders, manufacturers, allied product and service suppliers together in one roof. 
The CIDAMi (Cacao Industry Development Association of Mindanao Inc) President, Ms Charita Puentespina, opened the conference. She talked about CIDAMi's goals and objectives, including its role in leading the Philippine Cocoa 2020 challenge and how the Kakao Connect Event objectives would bring about convergence of cocoa value chain actors. Read more here
